Commuters

Commuter students have meal plan options available but are not required to purchase one.

Red and Gold Meal Plan

The Red and Gold Meal Plan is designed for on-the-go commuter students. It's a Declining Balance meal plan available in four purchase levels (see below). You can get it by charging to your UMSL student account. There is a $10.00 administrative fee that goes toward university operations. Purchase forms are available online at http://umsl.edu/go/redgoldmeal. Please contact the Student Affairs Business Center at 314-516-6685, or 180 MSC, with any questions. You will need your TritonCard to purchase. Declining Balance dollars are added to your TritonCard and work similar to a debit card. The cost of what you purchase will be deducted from your Declining Balance account as you use it. Declining Balance dollars can be used at all Sodexo Campus Dining Locations: The Nosh, Provincial House Dining Hall, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Triton Treats, Simply To Go Cafe, Cafe' TJ, Southside Cafe, and the Oak Hall C-Store. Declining Balance rolls over from Fall to Spring, but is cleared out at the end of the Spring semester. A summer plan can also be purchased for use during the summer semester, all funds must be used by August 31st or they will be cleared out for the next semester. This plan is only available during the first four weeks of the semester.

Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars are another Declining Balance option that can be used by faculty, staff, and students at UMSL. They must be purchased with cash or credit card (cannot be applied to your student account) and can be used everywhere you can use your meal plan. Unlike our other meal plans, Dining Dollars never expire so long as you are active on UMSL’s campus. To activate a Dining Dollars account, visit umsldining.com. After your initial purchase, you may add more to your account on the same page or with any Sodexo cashier on campus. We give bonus bucks for every purchase over $100 Dining Dollars!

Lost or Stolen TritonCards

Lost or stolen TritonCards can be replaced in MSC 190, replacement fees may apply. Should this happen to you, please contact TritonCard Office at 314-516-8680 or visit www.umsl.edu/tritoncard to report card lost/stolen.

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • TritonCards are non-transferable. TritonCards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
